Individual & Family Therapist
My private therapy practice is currently closed to new clients. New clients can contact me at Jory Mental Health Collective where I work as a therapist and clinical supervisor. For consultation inquiries, supervision inquiries, direct questions about my practice, or for former clients wanting supports or to re-engage, please contact me directly.
Services
Individual Therapy
I view the therapeutic relationship as collaborative, honest, and dynamic. What works for some does not work for all. I enjoy working with my clients to find the right pace, rhythm, and session flow.
Typically our first two sessions will be intake sessions. In these sessions I will gather background information, review confidentiality as well as therapy logistics and preferences, and work with you to determine our areas of focus. These focus points will provide a starting place for our work, but can change whenever we see fit.
When working with adolescents and youth, I seek to follow the client's lead to learn what feels most comfortable for structuring sessions. When youth choose to meet with me alone for intake, I hold follow-up sessions with parents to complete the family portion of the intake. I work with all clients to ensure confidentiality is intact and information is protected as desired.

Individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes. Virtual and in-person sessions are available.
Family Therapy
I see my clients as the experts in their family dynamics and view my role as that of a guide toward shared goals. I work with each client system to determine the best path forward for family therapy. In some cases the family is the identified client, but in many cases family therapy is helpful to support a client who is primary in the work. In those cases, I work with the identified client to determine the most effective way to involve family- sometimes we alternate individual and family sessions, other times we meet with family as needed, and occasionally the work starts and stops as helpful. As family needs are dynamic and changing, I appreciate the flexibility of therapy to accommodate these changes as they shift.

Family therapy sessions are 50 minutes. Virtual and in-person sessions are available.
Consultation in the Community
I offer consultation in the community and have experience speaking in public schools, private schools, colleges, community mental health organizations, and churches on topics including but not limited to: child and adolescent brain development, narrative therapy, supporting trauma survivors, supporting gender expansive youth, suicide prevention, developing group therapy for queer youth, and increasing visibility and support for a variety of mental health needs.
